Last night in Miami the legendary British Rockers THE WHO performed some of their greatest hits to an audience in over 230 countries by one of the largest television audiences in history.

To celebrate this momentous performance the band are releasing a 2 cd package THE WHO GREATEST HITS / GREATEST HITS LIVE featuring the band’s best known tracks and a disc of rare live cuts.

During the performance, which is exclusively available for the ROCK BAND game, the band stormed through “Pinball Wizard” segued in to the scorching “Baba O’ Riley,” “Who Are You,” “See Me Feel Me” and a fireworks-emblazoned finale of “Won’t Get Fooled Again.”

Speaking last week singer Roger Daltrey joked that whilst The Who were playing for 12 minutes at half-time of the NFL title game between the New Orleans Saints and Indianapolis Colts. "I heard if you take out the advertising and all the breaks, the game only lasts for 11 1/2 minutes,".

Who songwriter and guitarist Pete Townshend countered "We're working longer than the players?" We should redo our deal."

When informed that the Colts enter the field at home games to The Who music, Daltrey called that "An incredible honor" but said he was cheering for the Saints in the wake of New Orleans recovering from Hurricane Katrina in 2005. "I just think New Orleans could do with a little bit of luck, so I will root for them," he said.

"In that case, I will go for the Colts," Townshend said.

Monday 8th February 2010 - The Who will release THE WHO GREATEST HITS / GREATEST HITS LIVE to coincide with their performance during the halftime show of the 2010 SUPERBOWL XLIV.

The Greatest Hits CD/download also includes classics such as, My Generation, I Can’t Explain, The Kids Are Alright, Pinball Wizard, I Can See For Miles, Substitute as well as featuring the three themes songs to the CSI series - Won’t Get Fooled Again, Who Are You and Baba O’Riley.

Disc two of the package includes a full album of rare live tracks chosen by the band, covering performances from 1965 up to 2007, with spectacular live versions of many classic hits and live favourites.
