FIRST SHOW IN BIRMINGHAM FOR OVER 30 YEARS SELLS OUT IN UNDER AN HOUR
Birmingham Academy, June 11th, 2008
The Sex Pistols first show in Birmingham for 32 years has sold out in under an hour. The music icons are set to play The Birmingham Academy on June 11th to warm up for their headline slot at The Isle Of Wight Festival on June 14th
The show follows on from the bands critically acclaimed and sell out run of performances at Brixton Academy last November.
The Sex Pistols last played in Birmingham at Bogarts in 1976 and now 32 years later they are set for a blistering return playing classics like ‘Anarchy In The UK’, ‘God Save The Queen’, ‘Pretty Vacant’ and ‘Holidays In The Sun’
As one of the most exciting and unique live bands in music history the the show promises to be an ear shattering spectacle and a real assault on the senses, with original members John Lydon, Steve Jones, Paul Cook and Glen Matlock all lining up.
