About Cinémoi

Cinémoi, the new home of French film, is broadcasts exclusive interviews with the world’s top film stars alongside a wide range of celebrated French classics, drama, comedies and documentaries.

With 20 new films every month (250 films a year), 52 interviews with global celebrities, respected Directors and Actors, plus exclusive coverage from the Cannes Film Festival, Cinémoi is THE destination for any film lover.

Since its launch Cinémoi has featured intimate and revealing interviews from some of the worlds greatest acting talents including Catherine Deneuve, Vincent Cassel, Michael Caine, Isabelle Huppert, Steven Birkoff, Kirstin Scott Thomas and many more.

Cinémoi began as an idea from passionate French film buff Olly Bengough backstage one night at KOKO in Camden. As a music venue director and nightclub proprietor Olly applied his creative expertise to developing a unique film channel.

It was soon after that The Mint Group (owners of KOKO) and 3DD Group (Producers of The Album Chart Show) teamed up with Ed Pressman, one of Hollywood’s leading independent film producers (Wall Street, American Psycho) joined to create the stylish Cinémoi.

The only new movie channel to launch this year, Cinémoi has made waves citing Michael Caine, Jane Birkin, and Catherine Deneuve amongst its many enthusiastic fans.

Cinémoi is reaching new audiences every day as French cinema continues to be the No. 1 foreign language cinema in the UK and second only to Bollywood worldwide.


Cinémoi In Cannes…

For the first time ever, extensive coverage from the 62nd Cannes Film Festival will be aired in the UK, only on Cinémoi, Channel 839 on Sky.

Cinémoi will produce daily news programs with 6, half-hour programs starting on the 16th May and finishing on the 25th May including a report from the final Awards Ceremony.
Additionally, there will be daily mini Cannes updates daily on their website, http://www.cinemoi.tv.

Although the Cannes Film Festival is the 3rd biggest international media event in the world after the World Cup and the Olympics, it is not widely covered in the UK. Cinémoi, is set to make waves as a unique destination for comprehensive Cannes coverage offering a 360 degree view of the iconic festival.

6 new films a month from cop movies like Police Python 357 (Alain Corneau, 1976) and L627 (Bertrand Tavernier, 1992) to war movies like La 317eme Section (Pierre Schoendoerffer, 1964) or the mystery of Claude Chabrol’s cinema

Cinémoi Comedy…

4 new films a month from the biggest popular hits in France like Les Bronzes and La Grande Vadrouille, to less well known comedies with a lot of wit and French humour that will you laughing.

Cinémoi Documentary…

Exclusive documentaries will complete feature films. Subjects include Louis Malle, Krzystof Kieslowski, Claude Chabrol, Claude Sautet and more.
